At Friday's Monthly Office Lounge meeting for paid subscribers of members of the Iowa Writers’ Collaborative, we closed as is our custom with a reading of a poem by Suzanna de Baca. Published Saturday on Suzanna’s Dispatches from the Heartland, it’s a brilliant, historic poem about a brilliant, historic basketball player, the University of Iowa's Caitlin Clark. I was honored when Suzanna asked me to do the reading. Here I read it again. Thank you, Suzanna, and thank you Caitlin Clark.
