Democrats invest? Absolutely in their own pet projects. They don't do anything that benefits anyone but themselves. To say that Repubicans don't invest is equally wrong. They just don't spend frivolously. They demand that spending be based on solid evidence and that tax money should be stewarded well.

Spot on, Bob. You can add investment in the IRS to the list. That makes no sense to me. The current TV ad showing supposed IRS agents walking out of a cornfield to grab our wallets is one of the more ridiculous ads this season. And that’s saying something!

Worth reading Gilbert Gaul’s THE GEOGRAPHY OF RISK and remembering that Floridians and other coastal residents choose to live in risky places but expect all Americans to underwrite their disaster relief.

Just repeating Govt is not the problem has not worked since Reagan. We are government. We are the government. The republicans, since Reagan, have successfully painted government as the "other', along with other groups and peoples R's want to diminish, degrade and to disappear. Trump is the biggest enabler; it is the biggest threat.
