I am from a small town and this sounds just like normal for the morning men get together for their breakfast and coffee. Sometimes the discussion takes place in the community park while telling their tales.

Old men don't usually talk that way to old women but I do know how old men talk when they forget you are a member of the opposite sex. Whatever keeps them smiling is fine with me.

I know the first two tales are true. Multiple witnesses at the softball game, and a very sad son whose father passed by the lake. The final one was said with a straight face...

What a great story! I could hardly make it through my scrambled eggs. I shared it with my wife, another beautiful older woman, and we had a wonderful laugh together. Hoping the equestrian metaphor takes root...
