Bingo! Either Trump or DeSantis will be detrimental to our country if either would be president - I’ve been very surprised when I’ve visited Florida in the past couple years how many Floridians like him & his views…..
Speaking of race and dog whistles, I hope people have had a chance to listen to Senator Scott's attacks on Pres. Johnson programs and his claims that those programs increased poverty levels. Scott could have questioned welfare programs in a different way, but he chose to dog whistle. Scott's comments are dangerous because he endorses anti government beliefs and reinforces other stereotypes.
Private event? Hmmmmm. If so, the press should not cover the event. Thanks, Bob, for writing this. Certainly nothing to be proud about while living in Iowa.
It's hard to say. Sometimes the campaign hires security. Sometimes they are part of a politician's official state detail. Sometimes they are undercover officers for the local agency. I saw Ty did a hit with MSNBC shortly afterward. Not sure if there were more. Thanks!
I just heard from a former colleague that Bleeding Heartland has been denied press credentials for President Trump's appearance at the National Cattle Congress grounds in Waterloo Saturday.

It was terrible. He, Haley and Vivek are doing the worst kind of pandering.
I guess I’d call DeSantis a modern day George Wallace. He just needs to be more subtle and use alternate words.

Tom S.
They said it was a private event, but as the press and the public were both invited, it's hard to see how it was a private event.
Well researched and written, Mr. Leonard
Bob,
Are the two guys behind the LE wearing sunglasses De Santis staffers? This is awful. Is Ty doing interviews with national media?

Afraid of the truth...
Racism has no place in Iowa!
